The CDSE is part of a network of 8 Centres of Competence in specialized psychopedagogy and the ATVA (agence de transition à la vie active) and was launched by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth in autumn 2018 with the aim of supporting children and adolescents with special educational needs. The CDSE is a resource centre for school support teams (ESEB, SePAS, Inclusion Boards etc.), teachers, educational child professionals, as well as students and parents, who can be offered guidance and services in specialized care.
