Mission

Our work at the CDSE is based on a holistic and integrated approach to the socio-emotional development of children and young people. We rely on recognised tools and reference frameworks that enable us to offer targeted, sustainable and situation-appropriate interventions.

Among these tools, ETEP (Entwicklungstherapie/Entwicklungspädagogik – Developmental Therapy/Educational Development) plays a central role. It is a structured tool that enables detailed observation of a pupil's skills and needs across various areas of development. It allows us to set individual goals and evaluate progress in close cooperation with professionals and families.

In our practice, we pay particular attention to the life experiences of children, especially those marked by potentially traumatic events. Inspired by the principles of trauma-informed education, we strive to create a safe, predictable and caring environment in which children can rebuild themselves and regain confidence in themselves and in others. This involves a professional posture attentive to signs of distress, emotional regulation and individual pace.

We also adopt a systemic perspective in every situation. This means that we never view a child in isolation, but always within their context: school environment, social relationships, family. We work closely with school teams, support structures and families to co-construct suitable, coherent and shared responses.

This combination of tools, professional attitude and networking guides our daily action, always with the aim of supporting the development of children and young people and promoting their educational and social inclusion.
