Social, emotional and ethical learning
Social, emotional and ethical learning (SEE Learning™) is an innovative educational program developed by Emory University, Atlanta. The CDSE is the official partner organization of Emory University for Luxembourg and a partner of SEE Learning™ Europe.
The CDSE, SEE Learning™ program, accompanies cycles 2.1 and 3.1 over a 2-year period. SEE Learning™ provides educational professionals with the tools to develop and foster the emotional, social and ethical intelligence of both students and educators. SEE Learning™ is based on cutting-edge educational research and builds on the foundation of SEL-programs by incorporating important additional components, such as:
- Attentiveness training
- Compassion and ethical decision-making
- Systems thinking
- Resilience and treatment practices relying on understanding of trauma therapy
This program offers a developmental strategy with easy to implement lessons, a conceptual framework for curricula and resources for the guidance and training of educators. SEE Learning allows students to engage in a global community and to advance in their socio-emotional development while also providing educators with the tools to foster their students‘ well-being.
Both the presentation and the workshops will be held in Luxembourgish. If interested, please contact us via
Promotion of social and emotional skills (primary school and secondary school) – school climate
The CDSE mediators intervene when the climate of the class hinders the learning process and/or in cases of school bullying or mobbing, for ex.: when a pupil is being teased or rejected by his/her classmates (deliberately and repetitively during a certain period).
Within the scope of coaching, the CDSE staff helps the pupils to develop skills such as communication, team spirit and autonomy. The coaching promotes a school climate favorable for discussion and for learning and it supports the well-being of the pupils in the class.
